Types, Goals, and Policies
Mission
To focus on progress over product: by focusing on growth during the process by asking questions, we instill a base of intrinsic learning within ourselves leading to self-motivation for lifelong learning and solving the mysteries of our own curiosities.
Learning anything, at any age can be really challenging. My goal as an instructor is to act more as a guide and match your interests with my skill set. While some lessons can be very traditional and focus on standard growth other lesson types can explore the really big world of music. I believe it's very important that we teach ourselves...how to teach ourselves. How do "we" search for answers, how do we train our muscles, how do we practice using our memory? Each human is vastly unique and my hope is that I can help you figure it out.
Types of Lessons
Piano Lessons
Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Styles: Any of interest
30, 45, and 1-hour sessions
All lessons are rooted in Ear Training, but will also include music reading. Will also include a recording of a favorite song learned at the end of the semester (or every 3 months).
$45-$60 a session paid for in advance monthly or by semester.
*Students are asked to provide their own materials, but the instructor does work to find resources that are free, or more accessible to students.
Voice Lessons
Level: Beginner - Professional
Styles: Any of interest
30, 45, and 1-hour sessions

Songwriting/Music Production
Level: Beginner - Professional
Styles: Any of interest
30, 45, and 1-hour sessions
All lessons are rooted in Ear Training, music reading, music production, poetry, and literature. Students can pick their instrument of choice to accompany them through the process. Will also include a recording of a favorite song learned/written at the end of the semester (or every 3 months).
Songwriting
$45-$60 a session paid for in advance monthly or by semester.
Music Production
Pricing varies on level and session requirements and interests.
*Music Production and Songwriting have their own set of equipment requirements that will be discussed in the initial meeting.
Art/Music/Movement/STEM guided sessions
What is it?
A 1 to 2-hour session where the learner can choose a STEAM activity of interest (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) and spend a focused amount of time working on it with guided participation. The instructor can choose the activity as well, but primarily they are there to assist with bringing the student's idea to life. Past sessions have included building volcanoes, baking cookies, putting on plays, making costumes, and spin art.
1 hour - $75
2 hours - $150 (only available on Weekends)
Cost accounts for materials and extra cleaning to accommodate flexibility of interests. These sessions can be booked individually unlike other lessons and also be booked for parties or groups 1 month in advance.
Tutoring
Level: Pre-K through 8th Grade any subject
High School: Geometry, English, Theater, Music, Dance, Social Studies, History, Paper writing, Time management, College Prep, Audition Prep, Economics, and Literacy.

$40-$50 a session paid for in advance monthly or by semester.

Coaching Sessions
These are one-off lessons best for upcoming auditions, performances, competitions, or other reasons you just might want to come in and get a little extra help. Coachings can be scheduled for one-time instances for 1 hour for $50, 1 week in advance.
