Grading

Grading for this class is Pass/Fail.

Please see individual assignments to see what is equal to Passing.
Beyond passing you can level up for yourself by seeing what the expectations are for a B/A-  or an all-out A+ level project is. Each assignment is different.

01  Show up to class prepared

This means

     - Having something with which to write

     - Having completed assignments (Check your class's page if you can't remember)

     - Knowing what we talked about the week before

 02  Don't Be a Jellyfish
Jellyfish don't have spines. They don't have hearts. You are a human with a spine and a heart, so you will stand up for what's right and be good to those around you. Jellyfish don't survive on land so you best not be one.

 03  Always give appropriate content

If you have access to this website, you're an older kid. You know what's okay to say at school and what's not. We do a lot of songwriting and creative projects in this class. These are wonderful places to explore things you're curious about, but if you wouldn't perform it live for the principal, your teacher, or your parents, then you shouldn't write it down. If we have a problem with it, I will revoke creative privileges.

 04  Be Safe.

You have control over your body, soul, and mind. You are ultimately who takes care of them. Ms. Smith is going to do her part to help keep you intact, but you have to practice taking care of yourself too. Get rest, be prepared, and good grief if I see anyone standing on a chair you can betcha we're going to have consequences.

05  Ms. Smith ALWAYS has your back.
